For this assignment, you will create a clear and concise one-sentence thesis statement. Your thesis statement should succinctly summarize your position on the Paper topic. You will need to clearly identify the claim, argument, or position (main point) you are making, as well as the reasons (supporting ideas and evidence) you are making for the claim. Remember a strong thesis statement has three pieces of evidence. The following formula may be helpful in constructing your thesis statement.

Write a twenty to twenty-five (20-25) word thesis statement in which you:
- Construct a one (1) sentence thesis statement. (The thesis statement should clearly state the claim and reasons of the paper.)
- Identify the claim of your paper by bolding the correct text in your thesis statement.
- Identify the reasons of for your claim by underlining the correct text in your thesis statement.
For example, “Cheating hinders the learning process (claim) because students who cheat do not learn the course material, cannot apply course concepts, and have false sense of accomplishment (reasons).”

The assignment must be a Microsoft Word Document using APA Style and must include:
- Title Page
- Include the Paper Title, Author’s Name, and Institutional Affiliation
- Running Head
- Page Numbers
- Body Text – One (1) page minimum, Double Spaced, Times New Roman Font (12 pt.)
- The Body Text starts at the very top of page 2 (no empty lines above/between paragraphs)
- Each paragraph must be indented 5 spaces (use the Tab Key)
